hi! Currently, i;ve a dhcp server in my network running on win2k svr. I'm
thinking of setting up another dhcp server using win2003. My question is how
do i enable these 2 dhcp servers to run concurrently without any ip conflict
on the dhcp client? Can i enable the option in dhcp to check for dup
conflict...eg setting the value to 2 or 3? will that help? what's the easier
way to achieve this objective?

Another question is that can i just backup the dhcp file from the existing
dhcp server running on win2k and restore it to a win2003svr? Or is there
anyway to replicate the dhcp option over?

Thanks.

Hello dkblee,

See here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc780311.aspx

Instead of the 80/20 you can use any other combination to run one scope split
on two servers.
