DHCP stops working

There is a laptop with Vista business which looses LAN connectivity
mostly at a certain time of the day. and does not allow to accept DHCP
until next day. If a static IP is assigned the computer works, but
does not obtain a DHCP IP even after a restart.

any ideas for this problem.

I'm guessing that your Daddy has put an entry in the modem to restrict
access.
I have it set on mine so the kids can't access the internet from under the
blankets instead of sleeping.

Cannot find any filters. When this laptop is working in a domain
environment it works a problem. This happens when only when it is
working in a workgroup environment
