Diagnostic Policy Service

Is there any way to reinstall the administrative tools without having to
reinstall Vista? I had a Trojan and now I have some services that I
can't start.
The Diagnostic Policy Service will not start either automatic or
manual.
There are a couple more not working but the diagnostic is the most
important. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you very certain that all malware has been removed? If so, try running
sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt.

I apologize for not responding before now. I thought I had profile to
receive email when I received a reply.

Well I assume that I have all the maleware/virus off my computer. I
have run several different free virus scanners and maleware removal
programs. Nothing shows up.

I notice that event.log and a couple other services are not working. I
have run the sfc /scannow as adminstrator and everything shows ok.
