Dial up network connection does not respond

Here is my scenerio,
I work previously and now it does not
1) I launch My network connection (using an analog modem)
it goes out and dials my number it connects and I see the other end
requesting login at this point my curser just sit. My keyboard is non
responsive all ai see is a flashng curser. I left this connection up for 5
or more minutes to see if it was just a slow connection. I thought it was
only my computer running W2000 it is also happening on my laptop with
W-XP.... Help

Please uninstall update 911280 using control panel Add/Remove Programs.
When 911280 has been fixed and re-issued you can let it install again.
