I had just got done fending off a virus on my computer (vista hom
premium, 32bit). Had to uninstall/reinstall QuickBooks because it wasn'
working. I also went through and cleaned up everything I could from th
computer, and turned off anything I thought was unneccessary. QB go
through with the installation, but is not on my computer anywhere (I'v
checked everything I know how to check), and when I went t
re-re-install, the computer does not recognize that there is anything i
the disk drive
Any suggestions/tips/comments/proposals? Thanks in advance

Something to try,

Right click computer and select Manage,
After the new window opens, click Device Manager,
Then DVD/CD-ROM drives,
If you see a down arrow after you expand the drive,
right click and Enable it.

Get Windows install Cleanup (Google it). Use it to clean up the QB install
then reinstall QB.
