A different network printer problem

Three machines on wireless LAN. Three different OS: 98SE,
XP, Vista.

Printer is local to 98SE. I've had the XP on the printer (although I
don't at the moment), and I can see the 98 machine from the Vista
machine; however, Vista says the printer wasn't for sharing, but I
checked the printer on 98 and it is set for sharing.

Any ideas?

TIA

Dick

Thanks, Mike.

IIRC, Workgroups are different. I will check
and see.

With regard to most of your other suggestions, even though I've been
working with computers for over 50 years (Bendix G-15, 1957), I have no
idea what 'NTLM V2 Authentication' means. Also, not sure what 9x
represents, but perhaps 98 fits the 'code'. Ditto for NAS.

I've done a fair amount of Win Registry editing (without knowing much
about why what I waas doing, worked); however I don't anything abot the
hack you are talking about.

Do you have any favorite links where I can do some self-learning?

Thanks again.

Dick
