I have a 2003 Windows server that configure with IIS with several website
names. Is it possible to configure the DNS server to accept multiple URL
names for one of the website name. For example if one of the website name is
call "washingtonplace.domain.com" can I create a DNS entry so this website
can also be reach using the URL name "wp.domain.com"? For your information,
the "washingtonplace.domain.com" is not the default website on the IIS
server. It just another virtual web server on that box. I try creating a
CName (Alias) record on the DNS server and point it to the same IP Address as
the Host (A) Record for "washingtonplace.domain.com" but when I try to reach
it using my browser with the URL name "wp.domain.com" I get an Under
Contruction Error message. What am I doing incorrectly? Any advise would be
appreciated.

In IIS, not DNS, go into each website's properties, under Website tab, click
on Advanced, and make sure that the corresponding host header
(wp.domain.com, washingtonplace.domain.com, etc) are associated with that
specific website.
