There is also a different way to organize and see all your emoticons without
any third-party tool. I think this is the easiest solution.
Navigate to "C:\Documents and Settings\<USER_PROFILE>\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Messenger\<WINDOWS_LIVE_ID\ObjectSt ore\CustomEmoticons" and
create a .txt file. Open it and type in "rename *.dt2 *.gif" then save it as
a .bat file. When you run the .bat file you just created, there you will see
the .dt2 formatted files became .gif files and if you open them, you will be
able to see all your custom emoticons as .gif files.
<WINDOWS_LIVE_ID> is the e-mail address that includes your custom emoticons
and <USER_PROFILE> is your username that you use when logging in to Windows.
