Digital camera and usb port

i recently bought a new digital camera i took a few photos on it and then
tried to download them onto my computer, it plugs into a usb port on the
front of the computer. The first time i did this it worked fine, but i tried
again and it keeps coming up with a message saying the camera isn't
connected, and it seems to be trying to read from the floppy disk dirve. I
can still get a live feed from the camera, but i can't download my photos.

Maybe you need drivers from the camera manufacturer's website?

Is the camera's communication interface set to PTP? If not, you need
drivers. XP is required for the PTP interface. Windows 2000 requires
drivers.
