direct x 9.0c

both the web install and the redist start the setup and then no status bar
no installation just bang it says that it was installed properly but its not
installed at all (i thing maybe it returns no error so it says ok it worked)
but that was the first copy of dx i installed on this computer so unless
someone can get me either an old dx install or a working dx9.0c i am without
dx on this computer witch is not good for 3d gameing let me tell you!

Try uninstalling KB839643 first
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS04-016.mspx), then
installing Directx9.0c. Microsoft should have fixed the DirectX 9.0c
installers to work even if this patch is applied, but it doesn't.
