DirectX Problem After Update?

About three weeks ago windows automatically updated our security features,
which created a problem with our screen resolution. After a few days it
corrected itself, but now any program that uses DirectX is very blurry. Does
anyone else have this problem or know who to contact? I have reinstalled
DirectX and have gone through all the display settings, but it is still
running with the wrong resolution. How can we change the DirectX screen
resolution back to 1024 x 768? Thanks.

Go to the web site of your video card/computer manufacturer and get the
latest Windows XP video drivers.

What version of Direct X?
If not already installed, install Direct X 9c per steps #2 through #5:
