Disable Automatic Updates AND balloon reminder in SP2

I would like to disable the automatic update, which I have, however now I
keep getting the balloon reminder in the taskbar that I have disabled it.
That is getting old becuase I know I have it disabled. Can anyone help???

Somewhere under the Security Center there's a popup dialog with serveral
checkmarked items to turn on & those annoying taskbar popup warnings
(AutoUpdate, Firewall & AntiVir). Sorry, but I'm not in front of an SP2
machine at the moment to list precise instructions.
