Disable Automatic Updates

Installing Service Pack2 for Win XP has caused major problems on our system.
These are the only updates available right now. An attempt is being made to
automatically install the updates, but we don't want them and it's annoying
to have to constantly stop the process. How can we disable the automatic
updates?

After further investigation, I have found out how to turn the automated
updates off.
