Disable the Caps Lock key

Hi,

I have an old injury to my left hand and I constantly keep hitting the
"Caps Lock" key and then have to go back & re-do what I typed as under
caps.

I usually just remove the caps lock key itself & that fixes it. Now
I'm using a laptop and really am unwilling to damage the keyboard. Is
there a software command in Vista to disable this key?

Thanks!

MM

Good place to start, I Googled "remap keyboard key"

http://www.usnetizen.com/fix_capslock.html

I have an old injury, I can no longer raise my right arm all the way, but
I'm ok with the caplock!
Good luck!

Clark,

Thank you so much!

I did the edit and wala alchemy, my chunk o' lead Caps Lock is now a
gold Shift key. This is exactly what I need. Got my hand injured back
in the early 70's & I type with four fingers & the little one drags
along hitting the caps key all the time & this has been a killer for
me since then. Thanks for the speedy reply & accurate help.

If you turn on Toggle Keys then it will beep every time you
press it. I don't have an old injury but I still keep
pressing it, this beep is enough for me.
