How do I disable BOTH the Capslock key, and the Left Windows key
(leaving the right Windows key active) in the system registry?

Current value is:
[Hkey_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\keyboard Layout]
\"Scancode
Map\"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,0 0,3a,00,00,00,00,00

If I change this value, to disable the windows key, it re-enables the
Capslock.

How do I calculate the binary value to disable both keys within this
Scancode Map?
Better Question is: Why doesn't Windows have a built in key disabling
interface in the Control Panel?

Does nobody know the mathematical formula to get multiple keys of your
choice to be disabled on the keyboard?

I'd rather make the changes in the registry, than to clip the wires in
the keyboard itself.

Disassemble the keyboard, and remove the keys you don't want to function.

This serves the purpose of effectively disabling the key, and giving you a
place to sweep food crumbs into.

Neither mathematical formulae nor clipping wires is required. The
keyboard can be configured to disable whatever you want by using
software. The program I use is the freeware SharpKeys, which you can
get at http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/

Personally, I find that the Caps Lock key and the Insert key are
annoying since I sometimes hit them accidentally, so I use SharpKeys
to configure the keys to do nothing when pressed.
