disable messenger sign in

Just bought a Netbook with Windows7 Starter pre-installed
I am using Windows Live Mail for Mail and Newsgroups, but I don't use or
want Windows Live Messenger.
How can I get rid of the pop up, from the task bar, that opens every time
I start Windows.
