How to Disable Security Center - Windows Vista

After recently downloading recommended updates to my Windows Vista Ultimate
system when I use MS I.E. to browse I get a red screen with the warning
"Personal Security Alert New Data Base Update is Available . Viruses Detected
on your PC. Following this is a signup sheet to subscribe ($$) to their
Personal Security System. I can't get away from this screen without starting
over with IE and once again the same thing happens!

My ISP gives me a free McAfee Firewall and Virus Detection System which I
have installed. I have turned off MS firewall and Anti Virus System. McAfee
has scanned my system and reported it is clean.

Can someone help me get rid of this irritating Personal Security System
warning that keeps asking me to sign up for their system.

Thanks, in advance, for any help provided.

You're infected. McAfee is not known for being very good. Download,
update and run malwarebytes. Get it at http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Uninstall McAfee and get Avast, a much better -- and free -- anti virus
program available at http://www.avast.com/.

Another alternative is to not use Windows at all and use Ubuntu which
has no malware in the wild. It's free. Check it out at
http://www.ubuntu.com/.

Are you on Communistcast? McAfee sucks! Download and run this:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/ You may have a bug.
Then dump McAfee and download Microsoft Security Essentials.

You didn't get bad stuff from Windows Updates. You must have inadvertently
clicked on something..

In order to be able to get onto the Internet again, download and run Firefox
which is not affected by the malware that you have picked up. Use Firefox to
download fixes suggested..
