Disable Vista Live System File?

Anyone know of a fix for this?

Any time I stick a cd-r or dvd-r blank or even one that has been previously
recorded, I get a prompt message to format the disc when trying to view the
disc's contents in the "My Computer" window. If I select "cancel," I can't
view the contents of the disc and refreshing the view doesn't solve the
problem - I still have to go through the option of reformatting when I again
select to explore or open the disc. I'm sure this is part of Vista's "Live
File System" feature.

9 times out of 10, it's not a big issue if the disc has been previously
finalized, thus the pc can't "reformat' the disc even though it's still a
pain to go through the steps. Basically, I can't browse the contents of a
disc until I go through the format steps and Windows "realizes" it can't
format the disc. However, I screwed up tonight and chose this option on a
cd-r that wasn't finalized and it seems Vista did a format on the remaining
space on the disc basically isolating the already written date so I can't
access it leaving the remaining (approx 500MB) disc as a "blank." It should
be mentioned none of the discs I use are rewritable and I have "autoplay"
turned off with all the various disc options set to "take no action."

Basically what I want to do is disable Vista from prompting to format a disc
before I can even browse that discs' contents like I could in any previous
version of Windows.
