I am having the same problem. It is VERY ANNOYING. My computer is 100% busy
doing things I need it to complete. It will take hours. Meanwhile, I am
catching up on various message boards. I haven't timed it but frequently I am
told by Windows Update that my computer will be restarted automatically in 5
minutes unless I press Restart Later. This is done by a super annoying pop-up
that my pop-up blocker doesn't block -- a no no.
This must stop! Windows Update has no business restarting my computer on its
own, even if I happen to be at the computer doing various things. Nor should
it reboot my computer while I'm away. (gah, there it goes again!) I will
restart it LATER on my own schedule!
How do I disable this? Windows Update blocks me from getting to its settings
-- another no no. This just sickens me.
