Disappearing emails!!!!!

I thought i was losing my mind, over the last few days, i would receive an
email, and then next time i looked it's gone?!
Lats night i got an email that i needed fro work, and i know i didnt delete
it, and now its gone! I have triple checked every folder and they arent there.

Whilst i was typing this, i received a ticketek email, and i watched it
disappear in front of my eyes.

Please help! I cant afford for work related emails to keep disappearing
