Disappearing mouse pointer after hibernation

I have two monitors and I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1. However, I
had the same problem before I upgraded to SP1. I am using a laptop and my
mouse pointer disappears on the external montior when the laptop wakes up
from hibernation. I can use the pointer on the external monitor, but I just
cannot see it. The pointer always remains visible on my laptop's screen I
generally have the monitor set as the main monitor with the laptop screen as
an extension to the desktop.

Hopefully someone has seen this before and can help me out with it.

Thanks.

Does this apply?
The hybrid sleep feature and the hibernation feature in Windows Vista may
become unavailable after you use the Disk Cleanup Tool :

I haven't had any issues the last few times that the computer has been on
hibernation so I'm going to optomistically say that the problem is fixed.
Thanks.
