Disc Defragmenter problems

im running the Windows ME and is having problems with the DD. When i try to
run it, it remains on 0% and doesnt move, anybody else having this problem?
What can i do to fix it

Boot to Safe Mode and run Defrag there.
If it continues to fail, obtain the free ScanDefrag tool:

I had this problem for a while. I right-clicked on the quick-launch bar (the
one on the left near the start) and disabled it. Defrag ran right through. It
took about 6 hours because it took me almost a year to figure it out.
Apparently these items continually right to the drive. Hoipe this helps.
