disconnecting every 2 minutes/no display pics or emoticons!

i downloaded live messenger today
because on my previous msn for some reason i stopped being able to see
people's display pictures and emoticons except my own
it hasn't solved the problem and now it disconnects me every two minutes and
i don't know why
help please?

This option worked for me....when I had these problems with latest release.!

Go to Control Panel.....Uninstall a Program....uninstall Windows Live
Messenger you just installed.

Go to the following link...and download an EARLIER version of Windows Live
Messenger.

Note: I installed Version 8 (Build 8.0.0812.00).

Install your downloaded version and hopefully yours should be OK too

I am on Tiscali and all this week, between about 7 and 10pm my connection on
both WLM and Yahoo and any IE7 based chat program have been failing with
annoying regularlity. What problems are ISPs having, is there anywhere this
is written up? Thanks.

with exactly the same problem you and well myself have:

Thanks Darren - it is obvious from the comments being made on the Tiscali
forum that nobody from Tiscali gets involved or makes comments!! At least I
am not alone in the problems.
