Disk Defragmenter Error

When i click on windows disk defragmenter i recieve the error that says i
need to install the defragmenter. I looked this problem up in the discussion
and found a solution saying i had to fix the root in the regedit. I tried
this and it still did not work. I was wondering what i can do to fix this
problem

Have you tried running the defrag program through (elevated) command prompt?

the command is: "defrag c:"

If the drive you're trying to defrag is not C then just put in that letter.
