Disk Defragmenter

I got the following message recently when clicking analyze or defragment to
run my Disk Defragmenter in XP:
"Disk Defragmenter has detected that chkdsk is scheduled to run on the
volume C). Please run chkdsk/f." I have no idea what this means or what to
do about it. Any help would graetly appreciated. Thank you!

Normal response to a defrag or check disk on drive C:

You reboot the computer and let chkdsk run.

Or you can boot into safe mode, Run cmd<enter>. Type chkdsk c: /f
<enter> at the prompt.

After Chkdsk runs, you can then do a defrag c: <enter> at the same
prompt.
