Disk Management - Shrink volume

I have a laptop with a 90GB hard disk. There is 60GB free and I'm trying to
use the Shrink volume option in Disk Management to make the main partition
smaller. After I want to create an additional partition so I can dual boot.

The problem lies with Shrink Volume. Even though I have 60GB free it's only
offering me the chance to shrink by 14GB.I've turned off system restore and
hibernate. I've also used a number of defrag tools including Auslogic and
SysInternals.

Does anyone know how I can get Shrink volume to recognise the big chunk of
free space I have?

Answered in another thread.

Next time rather than multi-post, please cross-post your message. It
will be more helpful to you and to everyone else.

Here's an explanation in case you're confused:

Thanks for your help but I crossposted as I wasn't sure which newsgroup
covered my particular query. Also, not everybody subscribes to every
newsgroup.

Read this Tutorial, and related topics in this link

BTW, this NG is for retards and morons who discuss unrelated topics and
mainly for vista worshippers who think that they are doing a great service
and very proud of their achievements.

Crossposting is fine, but you apparently didn't crosspost. Instead you
multi-posted, and multiposting is always a bad thing to do, which is
why you got the reply you did.

Here's my standard message on multiposting:

Please do not send the same message separately to more than one
newsgroup (called multiposting). Doing so just fragments the thread,
so someone who answers in one newsgroup doesn't get to see answers
from others in another newsgroup. And for those who read all the
newsgroups the message is multiposted to, they see the message
multiple times instead of once (they would see it only once if you
correctly crossposted instead). This wastes everyone's time, and gets
you poorer help than you should get.

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup, please
do so by crossposting -- sending a single message simultaneously to
multiple newsgroups (but only to a *few* related newsgroups).

Please see "Multiposting vs Crossposting" at
