Disk Space Problem

I have an older computer that has both the original hard drive and a newer,
larger hard drive. The operating system is installed on the older hard drive
and it has just over 100MB free space. The second hard disk has almost 10G
of free space. I realize that SP2 needs 1.8G free disk space to install, but
is there any way to customize the install so the temporary files go to the
larger disk to allow the install? I have tried in the past to get the
computer to let me load the operating system on the larger hard drive as this
is the obvious solution, but my machine won't allow it for some reason.
