Vista disk thrashing is by design.
Vista was made to take advantage of all your resources, for example if you
paid for Ram, vista uses all of it.
Vista crams up the ram, uses the CPU 100% and fills up the hard drive and
makes it thrash.. because hey.. you paid for it so vista has to use it.
If vista detects your hard drive in a non thrashing mode.. it immediately
starts some task to make it thrash.. may it be search indexing, defender
scanning, or defragmenting...or one of the tens of crap vista has as
scheduled tasks.
Yes, vista makes sure your computer is working all the time.. and hogs all
resources up so YOU cant do any work
