Display garbled after microsoft update on week of 5/7/07

After an automatic update from microsoft sometime on the week of 5/7/07, when
the computer is rebooted after install my screen shifts to the left and about
2 inches of the right of the screen is blank. It also takes about 10 minutes
to start. Can't figure out what is wrong. If I do a system restore to
5/7/07 the display is fine, but if I then reinstall the auto update it messes
up again. Any help as to what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

* Which * update are you referring to ? Please post back with the
*specific* update that is causing the issue.
