Display Pic prob

Sometimes i wanna show some cool display pictures for my friends to see.
Whenever i change the pic they sometimes see it and othertimes all they see
is the windows messenger head. Having noticed that i even changed the
image(s) to a .jpg (JPEG) image which i assumed would be compatable but still
no luck.

Actually all images are converted by Messenger into PNG before they're used anyway.

Usually not seeing them is the result of a third-party firewall (ZoneAlarm the usual
culprit), although it would be consistently broken, not just once and awhile.
