When i am in conversation with someone I sometimes change my display picture
to a more personal nature (not rude before you go down that route) however i
do not want any of my contacts to see these dispaly pictures I am posting
(sensitive nature)it if they engage in converstation or at least open my
profile box.

My Question is is it possible to dictate which contact sees what dispaly
picture and if not can i stop or block other contacts viewing the display
picture whilst still conversing with my first contact.

Thank you in advance, hope that makes sense...

I am sorry to say it but this is not possible. What you could do is have
different accounts for different people on your contact list (so lets
say Account A is for your normal display pictures and Account B is for
you "personal nature" display pictures) then use an add-on like
Messenger Plus! ( http://msgpluslive.net ) to enable multiple messenger
instances running at once.

This feature really seems impossible to do, but then again I am not a
developer and I do not develop Windows Live Messenger so I can't truly know.

Hi,

It's not impossible to do. It would just take a lot of work and a service which monitors all
network traffic whilst blocking the appropriate requests to send your display picture.
