The default ones, I don't know.
The others, that are chosen by you, are either stored on your coputer or, if
you ticked the "always use the same dispaly picture and personal mesage when
i sign in" box, it is stored somewhere in WLM servers.

Hope I anwered your question

Greetings,

In XP, you'll find them here:
\Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\LiveID\ObjectStore\UserTi le.

In Vista:
\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\ LiveID\ObjectStore\UserTile

Where username is your Windows username and LiveID is your Windows Live ID/Passport e-mail
address.

Additionally, some of these folders will be hidden by default, to see them simply press the
Alt key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to bring up the toolbar, click Tools,
then Folder Options, then the View tab, and then choose 'Show hidden files and folders'.
After click OK, they should appear with the other folders.

The images are the .dt2 files and are PNGs. To see what they are, just drag each file from
explorer into Internet Explorer and it should render there if you're looking for a specific
one. You can then copy and rename them as you wish.

Finally, all these paths and options will be localized in whatever language your Windows
version is in, my apologies in advance for only giving the English paths.
