could not use my messenger unless I updated it recently, and now everytime I
open it my display settings get all messed up!(larger and blurry) affecting
every program that I open. I noticed in my display settings that it is
changing them to 8 bit each time. The only way to I can get ride of it so I
can use other programs is to close messenger and reset my settings back to 32
bit, restart my computer everytime...quite a pain in the you know what! any
suggestions?

Greetings Sue,

It sounds like compatibility mode has been set on Messenger. To change this, navigate to
\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger, right-click the msnmsgr.exe file, choose Properties,
click the Compatibility tab, and uncheck all the options. Assuming at least the color
settings were checked, you can now start Messenger normally.
