The service in vista for dkservice when ever started blue screens and forces
a reboot of the system. Blue screen does not stay for long so I am unable to
read it in detail.

I have tried uninstalling antivirus software, and still happening.

Any ideas ?

I don't know why you would uninstall your antivirus software and I certainly
hope you reinstalled it.

A quick Google for "dkservice.exe" shows that this file is part of Executive
Software's Diskeeper. That's where you should start your troubleshooting,
with their tech support or on their website if they have a knowledge base
or the like. Maybe the version of Diskeeper you installed isn't compatible
with Vista.

if you turn off/disable the auto reboot on error you could then be able to see some info on the errors.

System Properties , Advanced tab, Startup section, uncheck the box.

access System Properties by Windows Key + Pause/Break key. left side select Advanced.

I assume dkservice is to do with Diskeeper? This might help:
