dll error on an uninstalled program

Hi,

I uninstalled a program - Kodak Easy Share - last week and Vista is giving
me a dll error on startup. The title of the error is "dll error" and the
message is that "module cannot be found... in <path>". No wonder, the
program isn't there.

So what's going on? How can I make this go away? I've run through the
registry with PCTools' Registry Checker, and I've done it manually, though I
admit some hesitance to fool with it, even if it's to delete keys and values
for a program that isn't installed.

In any case, can someone help me get rid of that annoying (that's all it is,
really) error window on startup?

Thank you,

JohnC

First, you need to locate where the program is trying to start from.

Click Start and type msconfig and press Enter.
In the configuration editor, click the Start Up Tab.
Look for the item that refers to the Kodak program.
Check the Location column for the information on where it is starting from.
Go to that location and delete that entry.

If the location is is one of the "Run" keys in the registry, you may need to
run the registry editor as administrator. Click Start and type regedit In
the Results, right click Regedit.exe and select the Run As Administrator
option.

Let me know if you need more information.

No, that didn't work either. The only stuff it the msconfig tab is what's
supposed to be there, nothing with 'Kodak' or anything related to it.

The only place it still lays is in the registry. It's not under
"windows/current version/run", but several other places.
As I said before, I can edit that, I've done it before (though not
comfortably), I'm just not sure I should unless I have no other choice. It
seems, though, it's coming to that.

Any more suggestions?
