Dllhost.exe Runs Out of Control When Uploading Pictures in Email

I've got a strange dllhost.exe issue.

Whenever I upload a photo in Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo Mail dllhost.exe starts
running in the background and consumes 50% of my cpu until I cancel it with
the task manager. No other conditions start up dllhost.exe in crazy mode,
like that one.

Does anybody have any idea what is making it run out of control like that?
It will run forever unless I cancel the process.

The whole 3 applications are web-based email programs.

I am very disappointed that on my very first question in this community I get
a mean, condescending, unhelpful reply from you. I have never said anything
bad in this community and you turn around and treat me in this fashion the
very first time I try to find help.

I have reported you to the administrator. Your reply was completely
uncalled for.

How do you access your accounts? Thru Internet Explorer? Have you tried
another browser?

Dllhost.exe is part of Vista. The 3 web mail services you mention are simply
three applications that dllhost.exe cannot properly handle. If you do a
search on dllhost.exe you will see that plenty of other people are having
problems with it, too, involving different applications, not just web email.

Yes, it happens with Internet Explorer only. When I try it with Firefox
everything works fine. I don't mind using Firefox but it just seems odd
that Internet Explorer cannot handle a file upload from web email.

Hi DeeJoshy,

I am wondering whether you still have this problem. I have the same problem
and would like to know whether you have been able to resolve it (dllhost.exe
using 50% of CPU when uploading pictures and videos). If so, could you please
let me know what you did to resolve the issue? Thanks a lot.

Chris
