Trying to install updates on my computer, for exemple I would like to install
SP2, I use windows update. It try to install something but I have an error
0x80246008.
I tried to apply this solution :
To resolve this problem, register the Qmgr.dll and Qmgrprxy.dll BITS files.
To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32
qmgr.dll in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Click OK.
3. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll in the Open box, and
then click OK.
4. Click OK.

But at first step I have another error : "dllregisterserver service point
was not found" so first dll is not registered, but it works for the second
one.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry I can't help -- because I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Only I
think mine worked for the first and not the second.

A shame you're not able to answer, 'cause it seems no one can !

I guess you are trying to follow the resolution given by KB883822?

What versions of those modules do you have? (Version, size, and date)
Check all instances. E.g. System32 as well as ServicePackFiles, etc.

Tip: FileVer.exe from the Support Tools package is handy for
capturing this information (as well as other more detailed information
via its -v switch.)

In particular check to see if you have the ones documented in KB842773
or KB842309. The KB883822 article doesn't document its assumptions
very well but since it was written so much later I suspect it would have been
created after the other two which document the upgrade to BITS 2.0.

Note that that update is a pre-requisite to installing XPsp2 via the net,
in case that is what you are trying to do.
