DLNA Server Folder Structure

Does the DLNA server that is build in to Windows Media Player require the
video content to be in a specific folder structure in order to serve up to
DLNA compatible devices?

I currently have a Sony BDP-S570 with the latest firmware and although it
can see the folder structure of content shared, it says there is no media to
display. I have many file types including VOB and WMV which will play from a
USB stick plugged in to the S570 but not through DLNA.

Thanks.
