I second the 'change router' suggestion,
Idea, if you are behind a cable or DSL box, and it is fairly recent
hardware, it too has an access feature to it for firewall and other
assorted settings. So you need to have an access address for that also.
It best be different then your present linksys box.
So you might be dealing with a setup that has controls in a modem, a
router, AND in the software in each computer hooked up to your 'network'
If thats the case then you might have 3 different places you would need
to configure before things work well with each other.
For installations behind a DSL or cable modem box I like to use a data
switch, that lets me follow the KISS principal. AND it is usually less
expensive then routers. This tends to reduce the amout of places that
one would need to configure.
