I want to add things like Delete, Paste, Cut etc at the top Like in XP but I
can't seem to customise it in Vista. Also, is there a My Documents folder in
Vista ?

I believe you are referring to IE?
Right Click the second, or third bar down and select Menu Bar.
The "My Documents" folder is a hidden system folder. You can see it by
altering the customistaion through Tools/Vies. But it will not help to
do that. Without altering your security options, the folder is
inaccessible. It acts as a shortcut , for backward compatibility
reasons, to the new folder User/username/Documents. To interfere with it
can seriously damage your files.
I am sure MS had a good reason to change its path and name, but one
such does not occur to me!

You should find the options in the Tools menu > Configuration.

Yes, but it's just called Documents in Vista. You'll find it on the
right hand side of the start menu, and the folder path is
C:\Users\%UserProfile%\Documents

I'm with the OP in this one ... and it's Windows Explorer that we want some
extra buttons. Like how about a simple {delete} button so one does not have
to right-click, scroll, then select {Delete.} Or File, Delete which is
still two clicks vs. one.

A quick Google shows lots of people want this - and no answers.

Personally, I like the right-click...
or just hit the Del key..

Don't think I used the Delete button much.

I agree WE needs a toolbar - is it possible or is there a freeware or
shareware app that does it for me? So far I'm very unimpressed with Vista and
may go back to WinXP Pro.

I am a confirmed Mouse user, but for those particular functions, I still
use CTRL X for cut: CTRL C for copy and CTRL V for paste.
But if you do not mind third party software on your pristine Vista,
xplorer2 lite (free) is a good alternative. It does all the things you
need, plus quite a lot more. Needs a bit of first time customisattion
though. You can fetch it here.
