I just downloaded and installed the free VLC media player on the
recommendation of a listing on this forum as I had an MPeg 4 file that
would not play using WMP or Nero showtime.
Unfortunately it has now taken over all my video files which now
display the VLC trafic cone logo, whereas before Nero seemed to be the
default player of choice. I would like to keep VLC to play a few files
but i do not want it as my default player.
Can anyone help me change this back to Nero or even WMP??
Incidently the VLC player did play the Mpeg 4 file, but for some reason
without any audio. (i checked that the Volume wasn't turned off or down
but no sound at all). The original clip was filmed on my Samsung mobile
phone at a gig recently and seemed to play fine on my old PC running XP.
I was hoping someone would have some ideas for this as well.
Thanks in advance..
