How do I disable Auto Update?

When I go into my system-Automatic Updates to disable it, all the choices are
greyed out stopping me from disabling the update.
I see that the Automatic is selected but I am unable to select any of the
options including Download but let me choose to install; notify me but don't
download; turn off.
Anyone seen this before and/or know how to get this feature to work
properly?

You have to have admin rights to change this - log in as an administrator.

I did logon as admin and that is the screen I was seeing. There are only two
profiles on this PC, Administrator and my own and both are set as
administrators.

I tried taking the auto update out of the startup using msconfig, however I
still do not have any of the options available to me. It is still set on
automatic.

Hi

See if this helps:

Start regedit.exe (Start/Run)

Locate the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate\AU

If the value "NoAutoUpdate" is found, delete it, and then log off/on.
