I currently use WLM 8.5 and do not wish to upgrade to WLM 2009 due to the fact it requires you to sign in again to check your email if you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer. How do I disable the notification and stop anyone inadvertently updating? I have seen some workarounds for the latest version of WLM using add ons but I do not wish to open my email in IE while keeping Firefox as my default browser. There must be a registry setting somewhere that can be changed to prevent this message from appearing every time I log into WLM? Please help....I've been searching for months and cannot find an answer! Many thanks!

Greetings Richard,

There's no registry setting. In fact, at some point in the near future 8.5 will be banned
from being allowed to sign in altogether (due to a security hole in one of the shared
libraries Messenger uses).

I'm not really sure of your particular problem though - in 8.5, IE should come up when you
click the Mail option or are you using a third party solution to bypass that?
