I've done it before, but I was walked through the process, and I've
forgotten how I did it. I need to I know start up in safe mode, then I
need to erase my entire computer - hard drive, OS, etc. Then reinstall
the OS and other programs as needed. Anyone know the method? It was
easy as far as steps were concerned, though it did take a number of
hours to uninstall and erase then reinstall the OS. Thanks for your
help!

If you want a complete new setup the best and easiest is to simply boot from
the winxp cd. Than follow the steps there. Make new partitions if you want
to, than format the partitions and install the OS and software.

Make sure you backup all data you don't want to lose of course, know all
serialnumbers, logins and passwords etc.
Don't connect to the internet before you have a firewall active and AV
software running. I have been told that it takes an average of something
like 5 minutes before a unprotected computer on the net is somehow infected.

Good luck

Gerard
