How Do I Get Maximized Windows?

Many of my programs and applications open up in a "restored" mode when I
open them instead of a maximized full-screen mode. This is not
consistent..sometimes they open in full-screen mode and sometimes in
partial-screen mode. Is there a setting that will cause them to always open
up in a full-screen (maximized) view?

If you use a shortcut to the program (rather than directly clicking on the
executable) set the properties in the shortcut tab on the Run: line to
Maximized.
