I had mIRC installed on D: prior to installing Vista on C:
I can start mIRC from a shortcut or clicking on the program's .exe file in
it's folder.

But how do I get it included into Programs

Vista doesn't seem to have the 'pin to' option like XP

please and thank you

If you right click the .exe icon you should
be able to select: 'Pin To Start Menu'.

Maybe the following article will offer some ideas:

There is a 'pin to start menu' option in Vista. Open Windows Explorer and
then go to your C: drive followed by Programs. Right click on the .exe file
for mIRC and, from the drop down menu, click on 'pin to start menu'

You've already got relevant answers, but here's a tip:

If you want mIRC to look much better and have a lot more tools and features,
try this script. It's safe - I've been using it for years. Check out the
'Pics'.

http://nnscript.de

You will have to make another fresh installation of mIRC 6.31, as they have
not updated it to work with the latest version of mIRC yet.

Thanks John
but mIRC is in D:
Where it was before the install of Vista.
I can go to the folder, click on mIRC.exe and the program starts and runs
normally.
but right clicking on the .exe or shortcut does NOT display a "Pin to"
option.
Nor can I see it in 'Programs'.

In fact all the programs that were installed on D: are not available to be
included in Programs nor can I enable a 'Pin to' option.

They all run, and run normally, I just can't access them the 'classic' way.

The "pin to" option is not available if you have the Classic start menu.

You're welcome but I guess you missed the
following dialog at the beginning of the instructions:

"Note: Some of the following steps do not
apply if you're using the Classic Start menu."
