How do I get rid of OLD entries in the Taskbar?

In Taskbar Properties, under the Icons and if 'Hide inactive icons' is
enabled.

It's the 'Past Items' I wish to remove.

For instance, there are MULTIPLE Microsoft Office Customer Exp..
I think one for each of the MS Office aps I installed.

Numerous Windows Live One Care. (I removed it, as I went another direction)

A few of these 'Past Items' were left over when that version of a program
was removed prior to an updated version.

I've had to mark them all as 'Hide'.
But a few are still peeking through.
Taking up too much space and time to remember what they were for.

I do know how to back up the reg files prior to editing.
So if they are listed in the registry, what do I delete?
