I have my primary drive in two partitions C & D. I only have 331MB free on
C. I this enough to install SP2?
Also can I deleate the old update uninstall files such as
"$NTUnistallQ828026$ to free up space since my system is running OK and I
don't have any need to uninstall any update. Especally after I install SP2.
If they are ok to remove what is the correct way?

330 free MB are few to run XP in any case. Even without
installing SP2. Where is your pagefile? in C? perhaps you
could move it to D while you install SP2. Anyway you
won't have place for the backup in case you need to
uninstall SP2.

Why don't you take some free space from D into C?

Hi

Are you installing SP2 using the full SP2 installation
file (266 MB)?

This one is relevant for a cleanup before installing SP2 as well:

For folders you can consider deleting and other disk cleanup tips
after a successful SP2 installation, take a look here:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm...TNGP15.phx.gbl

(also note that having System Restore turned off while installing
SP2 will reduce the space SP2 needs during installation with a lot)

Also, if you have a ServicePackFiles folder (from a SP1 installation),
move the folder to your other partition. If the SP2 installation
succeeds, you can just delete it afterward (SP2 will create it's
own ServicePackFiles folder).
