That assumes that the snake-oil registry cleaner leaves the machine in
a bootable state, which is all too often not the case.

To date, no one - not even those companies that rip off people by
selling such drek -- has ever been able to provide any scientifically
verifiable (i.e., independent laboratory) evidence to support such a
claim. If you can do so, you'd be the first.
