What to do prior to installing xp sp2

Here is an article PRIOR to installing sp2. I found alot
of problems can be elimited if you have the latest
drivers BEFORE you install SP2, especially video

Odd that they DON'T mention "Sacrifice a suckling kid
(preferably), lamb, or calf at a deserted crossroads at
midnight under a full moon".
